Jenny Feldman-Adams, CSWA

There’s no denying the stressors that make being a functioning human in this shitshow feel unbearable at times. My goal is to collaborate with you to find the joy, connections, and moments of beauty that bring your life meaning.

Did past therapy experiences leave you feeling judged? Talked down to? I’m here to listen with curiosity and compassion. I want to hear about the parts you’re ashamed of, the times you weren’t your best self (we’re all messy), and help you uncover and disrupt thoughts, behaviors, and relationship patterns that are no longer serving you. Whether you’re a queer teen carving out space in your conventional family/ town or an empty nester trying to figure out what you like and who you are after 25 years, you deserve to be heard.

Together we can practice slowing down your reactions, get you used to saying “no” with confidence and “yes” with genuine enthusiasm, and remind that inner voice to start being as kind to you as it is to others. We can tease out the differences between wants and needs, grieve the things you've lost and left behind, and work towards feeling like your body and life are yours, maybe for the first time in your life.

I’m transparent in my approach, and my style is centered around building a warm and trusting alliance with my clients. I’m here to advocate for you, help you rediscover your strengths, and (gently) challenge you when you’re stuck. I’m always grateful for feedback and consider myself a lifelong learner. I’m a relational therapist first and foremost, and as such offer free consultations to assess fit before we commit to working together.

The clinical stuff: I integrate a number of modalities in my practice, with an emphasis on Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy, a sprinkling of Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, and EMDR, all through an overarching lens of Feminist & Queer Theories. I embrace all varieties of family and relationship structures, sexualities and consensual practices. I’m autism & ADHD affirming, and take a strengths-based approach to working with neurodivergent clients who are struggling to adapt to a society that wasn’t created for our unique operating systems.

*I believe in bodily autonomy for all and the power of intergenerational learning (and dog kisses). I’m the ridiculously proud parent of 3 grown kids and a very active toddler.
